Redirecting Our Thoughts About Physical Pain

Our bodies are fragile and extraordinarily complex. Millions of parts function together to create your PRECIOUS body. When one part is not working in our favor, we tend to be angry, annoyed and aggravated. If we instead transfer those negative feelings to ones that are more positive, we are approaching pain and our relationships to our bodies in a new transcendent way. Let's consider treating our bodily pain like we would a fragile child who is hurting--with love, nurture and respect. So, the next time you have neck, back or any other pain, try holding space for it from a NURTURING PLACE and refrain from negative thoughts and complaining about it. Notice any feelings you may have about being entitled to a pain-free body and accept that to be embodied means that sometimes we feel pain.
